Playing Bass Guitar

Playing Bass Guitar

To become proficient at playing bass guitar it is important to learn and understand the same fundamentals that apply to 6-string guitars. The major differences are the neck of the bass guitar is typically about 7 inches longer than a 6-string (making it more difficult for a beginner to handle and learn on), and the 4 strings of a bass are the same notes as a 6-string but tuned an octave lower.

If you are new to playing any type of guitar (or if it’s been a long time since you last played), we recommend you start on a 6-string guitar.
